In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ashish Aggarwal

Ashish Aggarwal is a technology leader from Silicon Valley. He is a computer science graduate from IIT Delhi, and has spent 25 years in executive roles at top technology companies like Microsoft and Amazon. Most recently, he is the co-founder and CTO of Productiv, a series-C startup in Palo Alto funded by top investors like Accel. They are using AI to help CIOs optimize their software spend. In addition to his own company, Ashish is also an advisor and angel investor in more than 30 startups. Ashish is married and is a proud father of two boys (yes, both were/are in Gunn)

Jaslyn Kwan

Jaslyn Kwan is a junior at Gunn High School. Trained in ballet, contemporary and ballroom, she is a recipient of the 2024 Dance Arts Foundation’s Artistic Excellence Award. Currently, she is a pre-professional-level student at Bayer Ballet Academy and has also been sharing the benefits and joy of dancing to the community through her non-profit program, Dance a Difference. She became very interested in AI and machine learning after completing an AI Scholar summer program last year. In fact, since then, she has been working on a passion project to research the capabilities and possibilities of AI to assist in the health and wellness of dancers. After-all, years of training and occasional injuries and physical therapy visits have made her keenly aware of the importance of maintaining healthy and strong muscles. In her speech, she will be sharing the background, findings and outlook on some of these fascinating intersections between AI and dance.

Jasper Thrun is a Junior at Gunn High School, with a passion for audio production, spicy food, and long late night deep-talks. He has been fascinated by music from a young age, and is constantly surrounded by it.

Jessie Han

Hello! My name is Jessie Han, a senior at Gunn High School, and I'm excited to share some of the lessons I've learned about leadership through my own experiences. In my free time I love to watch movies, listen to music, and eat good food!

Jooah (Julia) Lee

Jooah (Julia) Lee is a senior at Gunn High School actively involved in wellness and mental health advocacy. She founded Joy Dance Club to promote joy and stress relief through dance. She also established the Newcomer Buddy Program to support students transitioning mid-year and foster a sense of belonging, drawing from her own experiences with frequent transitions.

Nithya Desikan

Nithya Desikan is a junior at Gunn High School. On most weekends, you can find Nithya in the kitchen, experimenting with a new recipe like her mother and grandmother. She is an avid cook and baker. When not in the kitchen, Nithya loves participating in theater, learning about science, and spending time with her friends.

Vin Bhat

Vin Bhat is currently a sophomore attending Gunn High School. In his spare time, he loves to get civically involved, especially in local government. Through the Palo Alto Youth Council, Vin serves as a youth ambassador to the City Council, helping plan events that engage more youth in politics. He also likes to play guitar, code, and participate in Model UN.
