In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Arsh Tikku

Arsh is a senior at Saratoga High School. He is interested in the underlying drivers for lesser known, but profound, historical conflicts. Arsh’s learnings about the experience of his community - Kashmiri Pandits - having to leave their ancestral homeland due to conflict and intolerance deeply moved him and made him interested in learning more about conflicts and how to build not just a tolerant, but an accepting society.

Daisy Ispasoiu

Daisy Ispasoiu is a freshmen in High School. She is a part of the girl’s varsity soccer and track and field team. She enjoys reading, baking, going on walks, and watching movies.

Nick Ngyuen

As a Prosthodontist, Nick Nguyen has been practicing in Willow Glen, California for over 25 years. He is also a provider for Kaiser Santa Clara and San Jose, treating patients with oral cancer. He recently graduated from LSU Business School with a master of health administration degree, and just completed a dental educator program at Harvard university.

Sahana Kumar

Sahana Kumar is a junior at Saratoga High School with a passion for singing, dancing, and community engagement. An active member of her school’s clubs and a contributor to her city’s youth government, she strives to use her voice, both literally and figuratively, to inspire change and uplift others.

Vedant Padhi

Vedant Padhi, a rising high schooler out of the Bay Area. In this talk, Vedant walks us through his medical struggle and uses it as a motivation to all around him to keep pushing forward—at the end of every tunnel, there will be light.
